針對國防革新工作，蔡英文總統今天(30日)在主持「國軍高階幹部授勳暨晉任授階典禮」時致詞表示，國軍必須與時俱進，持續推動國防事務革新，才能讓國家安全獲得更多保障；總統要求所有國軍幹部，建立完善管理制度並精簡業務，以落實各項戰技及專業訓練。

蔡英文總統30日授予一等雲麾勳章給即將退伍的參謀總長嚴德發，並授予新任陸軍司令王信龍二級上將官階。總統致詞時除肯定嚴德發的付出及功績外，還提到王信龍這次從副總長拔擢晉任上將，就是肯定他在各項職務上的卓越貢獻與付出。

總統強調，國防改革已經開始啟動，所有人務必要克服各種困難，達到改革的目標，總統說：『(原音)同時我要要求國軍幹部，必須建立完善的管理制度，精簡業務，轉用於落實各項戰技跟專業的訓練，讓國軍從勤訓精練當中建立務實的軍風，並且發揮精益求精的團隊精神，成為一支受國人肯定跟支持的團隊。』

總統強調，國軍必須與時俱進，唯有持續推動國防事務革新，才能讓國軍有更好的裝備和訓練，讓國家安全獲得更多保障。
